I wouldn’t be surprised if they adjust the pricing at some point, because a lot of the competition charges a credit or two per message.

If you’re looking to save some money or would just prefer the convenience of jumping right into the conversation, SoulGen has a nice range of premade Soulmates to talk to. The current spread includes 15 babes, including blondes, brunettes, redheads and even a couple chicks with funny-colored anime hair. There are novelists, singers, personal trainers, cops, bosses, teachers, supermodels and stepsisters to chat with. There’s a heavy element of roleplaying in SoulGen’s AI chat, with actions displayed in italics alongside the dialog. My conversation with Ella opened with her inviting me to a private wine tasting in her wine cellar, where I arrived to find her slightly tipsy already. “Ah, there you are! I’ve been waiting for you. I brought a strong, exotic wine. It’s… rich, just like the way I feel when I’m around you. Would you like to try it?”

“You’re damn right I’d like to try it,” I said. “Let’s get lit and break some taboos.” There’s a little pause between messages as the system simulates the wait times during an actual conversation, though it’s really only a matter of seconds. If you find a girl on Tinder who replies this fast, I’d say you’ve found a keeper.

Ella’s reply to my message was all italicized roleplaying, no dialog. It described the evening progressing with intimate conversation over a lot of wine, the atmosphere becoming “increasingly charged with desire and anticipation.” She reached out to touch my hand, sending electricity through our bodies.
