These sites are a great way to run a free website since you don’t have to pay for a big hosting package, but do come with their own set of drawbacks. There may be some spam that slips through your adblocker, but the biggest issue is just going to be the wait times.

If you’ve visited any kind of download blog or content-sharing forum, you’re already familiar with these services, their benefits and their drawbacks. They’re common enough that some of you are already calculating how many games you can download in a day even with the limits imposed. Free users can only download a certain number of files per day, and the downloads come at a sad little snail’s pace. The old fuckers in the audience will have flashbacks to the dialup days.
