Escort Index
https://escortindex.com
Formerly under the domain name of Live Escort Reviews (LiveEscortReviews.com), EscortIndex has apparently made an attempt to rebrand themselves. Ever so slightly. The site itself doesn’t appear to have changed at all—it’s always been a searchable indexing site that gathers escort posts from all over the web, providing them in one convenient location. The only real difference is that now, with the new domain of escortindex.com, you have a much more accurate depiction of what to expect on the site.
I have no idea why they used to call themselves "Live Escorts Reviews" when the site had a grand total of zero reviews on it. And it’s not even like they set out to be a review site in the first place! They very clearly state in their FAQ that they are merely an indexing service and do not offer any sort of posting capabilities.
So, why would an indexing site want to lead people to believe that they had reviews of girls? It’s just as much a mystery to me as it is to you. My best guess? Clickbait. I am, personally, much more likely to click on a site that claims to offer escort postings and reviews of the girls than I am to click on another indexing site. At any rate, I’m glad Escort Index has decided to become more honest in their domain with the service that they provide: an index of escorts.
Or, to put it in Escort Index’s own words, “EscortIndex.com is the Wayback Machine of dating and escort advertising. It locates, indexes, and links to ads from various online resources.” The Wayback Machine, for those of you who are unfamiliar (I had to look it up) is a nonprofit archive of the internet that began in 2001. That might be a misleading analogy, though, seeing as Escort Index is definitely a for-profit entity (their use of ads gave that away pretty quickly).
Well, now that we finally know without a doubt what Escort Index actually is, we can analyze it for what it is. And, as far as escort indexes go, it seems to do the job it promises well enough. The site design is simple if lackluster, but it makes it easy to navigate.
Immediately I’m Underwhelmed
As soon as you land on Escort Index’s home page, all you see is a white background behind plain black text, “Escort Index” written out in a stylized pink font up top, a search bar below that, and then an index of locations to browse sectioned out alphabetically by state (and by city within). The site looks kind of like it could be Craigslist’s ugly cousin—just a very, very stripped-down list of categories and subcategories, but with zero style whatsoever. At least Craigslist has blue text that kind of pops. For a site dedicated to finding a girl to have a fun and freaky experience with, it looks like it could be a funeral home index if it weren’t for the pink logo. Come on, guys, have a little bit of fun with your site, let it reflect the content it provides! This looks like they didn’t even try, to be honest.
Great Range of Places
One area that Escort Index certainly seems to be excelling in, though, is the range of indexed locations. One easy pitfall for escort sites like this one is to only provide posts from girls who live in the big bustling metropolitan areas (New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, etc.). Escort Index, however, also features a good deal of midsized cities and even a few of the more remote areas in the United States (the Florida Keys and Anchorage, Alaska are two good examples). They also do not exclusively feature girls from the US. Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and Mexico all have decent representation on the site as well.Another aspect of the site that is winning is the number of girls to be found. Even a midsized city like Flint, Michigan has eight pages, each page containing about 80 thumbnails to choose from. The downside to this is that it doesn’t appear as if every single thumbnail is of a different girl. I guess that is maybe more just a problem with the logistics of indexing sites in general, though, than it is with Escort Index in particular.
Chaos
When you are automatically crawling the internet for a certain kind of content and then automating it to your site when found, you’re bound to have repeat information. But, does this also mean that you are bound to have no sense of organization? I mean, not necessarily. It would take a bit of time and energy, but the moderators of this site could definitely take the time to search their index for duplicates and group together posts of girls.Instead, what you have currently is just a bunch of random thumbnails of escorts with no particular order to how they appear. Shalonda may have a couple pictures in a row on page one, then there’s Becky; keep browsing, and what do ya know, more pictures of Shalonda. Oh, and there’s another random shot of Becky’s asshole.
Is it too much to ask for to have these posts analyzed and organized into something of a true index of escorts (with individual profiles containing all relevant info found), as opposed to an index of pictures and phone numbers of escorts that we have to sift through ourselves to put everything together? I get that Escort Index is bent on, based on their own words, what amounts to essentially doing the bare minimum, but damn. You’re running a website, not a crack house. Clean up a little.
Beware of Scams
Another thing that I noticed—and this probably goes back to the lack of vetting or really looking at content at all—is that in my brief time on Escort Index I stumbled onto posts that I know are fake. You know how there are some pics of girls that get recycled over and over again by scammers or catfish? Well, I found a couple of the most commonly recycled girls on the web here.I really do not think I would feel secure enough, based on this fact, to ever actually go through with meeting up with a girl I found posted on Escort Index. And, of course, there is no verification process, bio for the girls, lists of interests or prices, nothing to make reassure you that these girls are legit. In other words, if you do find a girl off of Escort Index and she ends up putting you in cuffs (not in the good way), do not say I didn’t warn you.
The Dingleberry Cherry Atop the Shit Sundae
In addition to an overall underwhelming site design and capabilities, Escort Index, as I touched upon earlier, also uses ads. The ads are not obnoxious or in your face or anything. But they are slightly deceptive, the way that they appear among the list of thumbnails when you browse girls from your city. Ads are always annoying, sure, but I suppose they could be much worse. Plus, the sites they link to aren’t particularly offensive or anything (just a sugar baby/sugar daddy site, a cam site, a (possibly fake) hookup site, and another (definitely fake) hookup site. Whatever. Still really fucking annoying, but at least my computer isn’t being slowed down by a barrage of popups and pop-unders.All in all, Escort Index might be a good place to check out as a last resort, or if you can’t find other sites that feature escorts in your area … chances are Escort Index will (it’s a huge index). Or maybe you are tired of all the girls in your area and want to see if maybe there are others you haven’t been able to find elsewhere, check Escort Index, for sure.
But, on the other hand, if you do know of another site that caters to your area and makes your life a little easier than this one, I would continue using that. When you take a step back and consider all of the areas that Escort Index has room for improvement—lame site design, shitty organization, a lack of useful information, the use of ads—I think it becomes clear that Escort Index will not be my go-to site for paid-for poon.
Personally, I would advise Escort Index to change their domain back to Live Escort Reviews, and then actually provide a place for reviews. Now that would be really fucking helpful.
- Large index of escorts
- Broad range of locations
- Use of ads
- Shitty site design
- Lack of organization
- Lack of info on the girls
